Weatherman Andy Carson, one of the original members of "Good Day Oregon," moved to Portland, Ore. in 1996, after a year and a half in Lynchburg, Va.

Carson started his professional broadcast career in the Pittsburg, Kan./Joplin, Mo. market in 1991. Carson reached his largest audience one year earlier when he did his internship for the then NBC show Late Night with David Letterman."

In total, Carson made four appearances on the Letterman show in the late 80s to 1990.

Carson loves the Oregon coast, the Cascades, the Gorge and of course the high desert of central Oregon.

His hobbies include golfing, running, biking, swimming, hiking and avoiding lawn work.

Carson has a beautiful wife and three good-looking kids -- two daughters and one son.
