How do I get Internet Access on my phone?
In order to use KPTV-Fox12, it is necessary to have Internet Access on your phone. If you do not have access, please contact your carrier/network to learn how to sign up. -
What type of phone do I need to view our KPTV-Fox12 Application?
Our mobile services are supported on many phones, but not all. If your phone is not supported right now you will not see your mobile model listed on the sign up page. If this is the case please check back later as we are continually adding new devices. -
How much does it cost?
The content is offered free of charge. However your wireless provider may charge you for the data needed to play videos and view other content. You should check with your carrier about the associated costs. -
How do I get the KPTV-Fox12 Application?
Our registration process will ask you for some basic information, including your carrier and phone model. Once you are registered, we will provide you with a wap link on your mobile phone to download the application. The installation process is easy. Simply click on the 'Download Link' and your application will be placed on your mobile or you will be told to bookmark a link. -
Installation Tips
On Windows Mobile Devices the application needs to be installed in main memory, not on a storage card if one is present. -
How do I view the KPTV-Fox12 Application?
Nokia Mobile Devices
The program can be found by selecting the option key and then scrolling down to the bottom of your installed programs. Each time you enter the program it will automatically download the latest menu. Use the navigation keys to move around the menu and select those items you wish to view. When you are done, select 'Options-Exit'.
Windows Mobile Devices
The program is installed in the 'Programs' section of the device. In order to be certain that you are viewing the latest content, click on the application icon and, then, be sure to select 'Tools-Download' from the lower left corner of the screen. This will pull the latest content to your device.
Wap Bookmark
Devices other than Windows Mobile and Nokia need to access the content via the bookmark you were sent during registration. Simply go to your phone's web browser and access the bookmark. If you mis-placed the address please send an email to fox12@u-turnmedi. -
Troubleshooting: I am getting a 'Connection Failed' message when trying to open the application.
This is often a result of the internet connection on the phone failing to make a connection. Exit the application and try again. If this fails, re-start the phone and try again. If the problem persists, go to 'Settings-Connection-Access Points' and verify the existence of the Fox12 Access Point. If it exists, open it and note the settings and email them to fox12@u-turnmedi along with phone type and carrier.

Troubleshooting: When trying to play video 'Define Default Access Point First' is reported.
This usually occurs on Nokia devices. Exit the application and open Real Player on the phone. Select 'Options-Settings-Connection-Network'. Select 'Default access point' and choose 'Fox12'. Then choose 'Options-Exit' and retry the application. -
Troubleshooting: My application exits immediately when trying to start.
Re-start the phone and try again. If the problem persists, it is usually the result of the wrong application being installed on the handset. Send an email to fox12@u-turnmedi with KPTV-Fox12 Mobile, phone type and carrier. -
Troubleshooting: I am getting a message 'Unable to connect to server. File not found' when trying to play video.
The server may temporarily be unavailable or the network may be extremely busy. Please wait a few minutes and try to play the video again. If the problem persists, report the clip you were trying to play to fox12@u-turnmedi. -
Troubleshooting: Receive error message that says 'Unable to Connect' when trying to stream video.
Exit the video and try again. If the problem persists it may be related to carrier issues. Send an email to fox12@u-turnmedi along with phone type and carrier. -
Troubleshooting: I am getting a message 'Communication Error' when trying to play video.
Re-start the phone and try to play the video again. If the problem persists, try to play a different video clip. If you are successful with the second clip, wait a while and try the original clip in a few minutes. -
Troubleshooting: My Pocket PC only has old content.
In order to be certain that you are viewing the latest content, click on the KPTV-Fox12 Mobile icon and, then, be sure to select 'Tools-Download' from the lower left corner of the screen. This will pull the latest content to your Pocket PC.
Once the download is complete, use the stylus to select those items you wish to view. To go back, select the 'x' in the upper right. To exit the application, select 'Tools-Exit'. -
Troubleshooting: It is taking a long time to connect or stream the video.
The speed and quality of the video is based on the quality of your phone's Internet connection. This problem will occur if your signal is weak or if the network is busy. Please be patient and give the menus and video time to load. -
Troubleshooting: While playing video, the video will pause and a 'buffering' message appears.
"Buffering" is an indication of a weak signal or a very busy network. Please be patient and give the video time to load. -
Troubleshooting: Why is the video quality not very good?
Video streaming works by using the high speed data network provided by your carrier. If you are in an area that does not have a good signal then the videos may not play properly or appear choppy. Also, if the carrier signal is interrupted or broken up in an area, then the video will not download as quickly or stream as seamlessly. -
Troubleshooting: Why does the video not fill the screen?
The videos are optimized for the majority of phones, typically 176x144 pixels in size. If your screen has an unusual configuration the video may not fill the screen. -
I've done all this and the video still won't play
Your wireless carrier may be blocking video. Some carriers do this and if you get an error when trying to view a video you can check with your carrier to see if you should be able to play streaming video. You can also send an email to fox12@u-turnmedi to report the issue. -
Troubleshooting: KPTV-Fox12 isn't responding.
Once you select the KPTV-Fox12 icon, your mobile phone or PDA must connect with the KPTV-Fox12 servers using its Internet connection. This will occasionally take a few minutes, depending on the speed of the connection. Please be patient and give the phone a chance to connect and download menus or video. -
