Bears Sign Harrison, Agree To Terms With Two Others

POSTED: 10:49 am PDT July 1, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Chicago Bears signed defensive tackle Marcus Harrison to a four-year contract on Tuesday.

Harrison, a third-round pick out of Arkansas, left the Razorbacks with 186 tackles and four sacks in 47 games (34 starts) over four seasons.

In addition, the team agreed to terms with wide receiver Earl Bennett and cornerback Zack Bowman on four-year deals.

Bennett was a third-round choice from Vanderbilt, who set the all-time SEC record for receptions (236) in only three years. He recorded 75 or more catches in all his collegiate campaigns, with at least one reception in every game he played for the Commodores.

Bowman was a fifth-round pick from Nebraska. He racked up 56 tackles and three interceptions in 22 games over three seasons.
