VANCOUVER, Wash. -- A Barack Obama yard sign may have led racist vandals to key a Vancouver woman's car recently.

The words "white power" and "I'm gay" were etched into the car of Karen Wastradowski last Saturday. Wastradowski had left her car in the driveway of her home when the vandals struck.

She filed a report with Vancouver police. Wastradowski said a blue "Elect Obama" sign in her yard could have caused the crime.

She said the vandalism won't change her political views.

"I will absolutely be an Obama fan forever and ever," she said.

As a safety precaution, she moved her sign further away from the sidewalk.

Police believe the vandal was a teenager, but they don't have any suspects.

Clarification: Initially, FOX 12 incorrectly attributed the following comment to a Vancouver police officer: "a blue 'Elect Obama' sign in her yard could have caused the crime." Police did not say the Barack Obama sign in her yard may have been the reason behind the crime. The comment should have been attributed to Wastradowski.
