Images Show Tense Moments Before Victory

POSTED: 4:54 pm PST November 7, 2008

Wonder if President-elect Barack Obama was nervous at all on election night?

Well, now you can see for yourself.

Obama's campaign has posted intimate pictures on his Flickr page of the Obama family watching election results roll in. (Images: Obama Family On Election Night)

The photos show the tense moments before Obama was declared the victor. They also show parts of the victory celebration.

In some images, he's seen sitting on the corner of the couch next to his wife, Michelle. In another, he's seen fist-bumping his eldest daughter in congratulations.

Other shots, after he was declared the next president, show Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden shaking hands and sharing a private moment.

The photo stream also has images of the Obama family watching as Sen. John McCain made his concession speech.
