RSL, Dynamo Battle To Scoreless Draw

POSTED: 9:15 pm PDT July 3, 2008

(Sports Network) - Despite dominating almost every aspect of the game on Thursday night, Real Salt Lake had to settle for a 0-0 draw with the Houston Dynamo at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

RSL, which is now 4-0-5 on its home field, did everything but score a goal in the match, forcing the team to share points with the two-time defending champions.

With the draw the two teams are tied for second place in the Western Conference table with 20 points after 16 Major League Soccer fixtures, one point behind the Los Angeles Galaxy, who have two games in hand.

RSL (5-6-5) will host Columbus on July 12 in its next league fixture while the Dynamo (4-4-8) don't play a league match until a July 22 fixture at D.C. United because of their participation in the 2008 SuperLiga tournament.
