PORTLAND, Ore. -- More details surfaced Wednesday about the death of beloved former Trail Blazers center Kevin Duckworth.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office performed an autopsy Wednesday, which revealed Duckworth died from heart failure.

He had been visiting Oregon Coast towns as part of a Blazers statewide tour, in which they planned to visit 19 communities and 5,000 kids before the end of summer.

However, Duckworth died Monday night at the Salishan Resort. According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, a woman named Marci Taylor was with Duckworth at the time of his death.

It's unclear why she was in the room or how she is connected to the former Blazers all-star. A representative of the Trail Blazers organization said that, as far as the team knew, Taylor and Duckworth were friends.

Taylor called for help when Duckworth stopped breathing and then the hotel's front desk called 911, according to Lincoln County sheriff's deputies.

FOX 12 visited the home of a woman named Marci Taylor who lives in the area. Two men came outside the house and said Taylor did not want to talk. They said, "It's personal; she doesn't want to talk about it."

The Blazers have canceled all remaining stops on their tour of Oregon.

The organization, along with the Duckworth family, will be holding a memorial service for Duckworth at the Memorial Coliseum. Fans are invited to join Duckworth's family, friends, Trail Blazers personnel, as well as several former teammates, to pay their respects on Saturday, Aug. 30 at 11 a.m.
