PORTLAND, Ore. -- The jerseys worn by the Portland Trail Blazers during the upcoming season will feature a memorial stripe in honor of former Blazers center Kevin Duckworth, the team announced Monday.Duckworth died in August after suffering heart failure while he was visiting the Oregon Coast. He was part of a Trail Blazers group that planned to host a free kids basketball clinic in Lincoln City just hours after he died in a room at the Salishan Resort.During the 2008-09 season, the Blazers' three uniforms will feature a black stripe with a white "00" stitched into the upper left shoulder of the jersey.The team's warm-ups and shooting shirts will also have a black patch that reads "DUCK" in red and "00" below it in white.With Duckworth at center, the Blazers were an annual contender for the NBA title in the early 1990s. Portland won the Western Conference championship and made NBA finals appearances in 1990 and 1992.
