Corvallis, OR -- (Sports Network) - Jeremiah Johnson ran for 219 yards and a touchdown on just 17 carries, and Jeremiah Masoli threw three TDs and ran for another as the 19th-ranked Oregon Ducks handed 17th-ranked Oregon State a 65-38 thrashing that also crushed the Beavers' bid for an outright Pac-10 championship and Rose Bowl berth.

The Ducks (9-3, 7-2 Pac-10) seemingly scored at will and racked up an eye- popping 694 yards of total offense to keep alive an outside shot to earn a share of the Pac-10 title. Oregon would need USC to lose in its finale against UCLA, creating a three-way tie atop the standings. The Trojans logged a 38-3 win over Notre Dame Saturday.

Masoli was 11-of-17 for 274 yards and ran for 53 yards on 12 carries. LeGarrette Blount ran for 112 yards on 17 carries while scoring once for Oregon , which made the 112th installment in what is known as the "Civil War" its third straight win and fifth in its last six games overall.

Terence Scott, Ed Dickson and Jeff Maehl each caught touchdown passes in the rout while the Ducks defense notched two interception returns for touchdowns and forced four turnovers overall.

Lyle Moevao had a career-high five touchdown passes on 27-of-51 attempts and 374 yards but also had two interceptions that resulted in 14 Oregon points.

"We didn't start out well on offense, and we didn't start well on defense. Usually when you have that you don't come out on top," Moevao said.

Shane Morales had five catches for 68 yards and two scores while Sammie Stroughter grabbed seven balls for 145 yards for the Beavers (8-4, 7-2), who were aiming for their first Rose Bowl appearance since 1965. OSU also had its six-game winning streak snapped in dramatic fashion and also lost for the first time at home in nine games.

Jeremy Francis, Brady Camp and Joe Halahuni each caught TD passes as the Beavers also went off for 463 yards of offense despite being without freshman sensation Jacquizz Rodgers, who injured his shoulder last Saturday but was leading the Pac-10 in rushing with 1,253 yards coming into the game.

Brother James Rodgers was held in check with seven carries for 56 yards and had to leave the game because of a shoulder injury midway through the fourth quarter.

"I have to give credit to Oregon, they played well. But our team never quit, and they always kept trying," Beavers head coach Mike Riley said. "They were a hard team to stop. We had to throw the ball too much, and I knew it would eventually lead to a turnover. They made a lot of plays -- and it's always hard to play behind. It's not something we like to do."

The Ducks began their impressive display of offense on their second drive of the game, an eight-play, 80-yard romp that was capped with a 17-yard TD catch by Maehl.

Morgan Flint's 38-yard field goal made it a 10-0 score on the following series but OSU drove 60 yards in eight plays on the ensuing possession and Francis hauled in a 20-yard TD catch to get the Beavers within three with 2 1/2 minutes left in the quarter.

Johnson, though, ripped off a 79-yard jaunt on the first ensuing play from scrimmage and on the next play, Blount found the end zone from nine yards out to push the Ducks' lead to 17-7 entering the second quarter.

The Beavers opened the second with a promising 70-yard trek but the drive bogged down at the Oregon four-yard-line and Justin Kahut left a 21-yard chip shot out to the right, keeping the deficit at 10.

Flint connected on his try from 22 yards to up the lead to 20-7 on the next series and Kahut then made good on his second attempt with a 24-yard boot with just under six minutes left until halftime.

The Ducks crammed 17 points into 5:41 to take control of the game heading into the second half. A 73-yard drive saw Flint hit again, this time from 25 yards, and the Beavers were forced to punt after three plays took just 28 seconds off the clock.

Five plays and 47 seconds later, the Ducks owned a 30-10 lead thanks to an amazing run by Johnson. The senior back burst through the right side and up the sideline, briefly losing his grasp on the pigskin but recovering, before a mean stiff arm allowed an 83-yard romp to stand up for seven.

Then, on the first play from scrimmage, Walter Thurmond stepped in front of a Moevao offering and took it 40 yards the other way for an incredible 37-10 lead with 43 seconds left until halftime.

A shocked OSU squad quickly recovered and Moevao fired passes of 20 and 17 yards to gain the Ducks 11 and Morales snagged an 11-yard score to trim the deficit just before the half.

Johnson finished with 202 yards rushing over the first two quarters and the Ducks amassed a staggering 445 yards of offense in just 30 minutes of action.

After Oregon produced its first three-and-out of the game, the Beavers traveled 72 yards -- 47 of which were on a deep ball to Stroughter -- and Moevao found Halahuni for a three-yard score to get within two scores, 37-24.

Blount sliced through the OSU defense for 45 yards on the Ducks' next series and two more punishing runs from Blount netted 12 yards before Masoli took it in himself from 14 yards out for a 44-24 game.

The third quarter continued to be a back and forth affair as the Beavers took the ball 86 yards on their next turn with Moevao going over the top to Morales, who brought down a 10-yard score in traffic to make it a 44-31 game entering the final stanza.

The fourth quarter started with a bang as Scott grabbed a short pass on third down and turned up field when the defender fell down, resulting in a 76-yard TD and a 51-31 lead.

OSU went back to work and quickly moved the ball into Oregon territory but a Ryan McCants fumble gave the Ducks the ball back. Oregon, though, punted and Stroughter brought it back 55 yards to the Ducks 18. And with 8 1/2 minutes left, Camp snagged a two-yard TD for a 51-38 affair.

Oregon could not be stopped, though, and Masoli tossed a 45-yard score to Dickson on the next series before Spencer Paysinger returned an interception 70 yards for a TD just inside three minutes for the final margin.
