Packers And WR Jennings Agree To Deal

(Sports Network) - The Green Bay Packers and wide receiver Greg Jennings agreed to a long-term contract extension on Wednesday.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that the deal will keep Jennings with the Packers through the 2012 season and pay him nearly $9 million a year.

Jennings, 25, established career-highs with 80 receptions and 1,292 yards last season and added nine touchdowns. The Pro Bowl alternate ranked sixth among NFL receivers in total yards last season and third at 16.2 yards per reception.

Over his three seasons in the NFL, he has played in 43 games and has 178 catches for 2,844 yards and 24 scores.
