MILWAUKIE, Ore. -- A man with ties to Milwaukie is accused of stalking and taking nude video of an ESPN reporter.

Michael Barrett was arrested in Chicago on Friday.

Investigators said he stalked Erin Andrews in several cities. Court documents said Barrett would rent the hotel room next to Andrews, make a peep hole and then take nude video of her with his cell phone.

Barrett lives in suburban Chicago but used to live in Milwaukie. His parents still live in the area and they had no comment on the charges against their son.

Andrews' attorney said she is relieved to hear of the arrest.

One sports fan said it's scary what a stalker can do with technology.

"People get wrapped up with who they are on TV and they really don't think of them as human beings. So they get kind of obsessed with the character. And it's kind of getting to a level that's kind of out of control," said Alan Lisicak, who lives in Milwaukie.
