sophie.soong@kptv.comSophie began her broadcasting career in Malibu, Calif. She was a business student at Pepperdine University when she discovered TV 26, a local news channel. As soon as she stepped foot in the studio, she knew she had found her calling and couldn’t imagine doing anything else!She worked her way up to becoming the main anchor for the weekly program. From there she moved to the Pacific Northwest, reporting and anchoring at stations in Roseburg and Eugene. She transitioned to weather forecasting when a former news director told her she would be a natural. Sophie joined the KPTV team as a weather anchor and reporter in September 2007 and loves working and living in the Rose City.A self-proclaimed adventurist, Sophie will try almost anything once. She loves to travel, and when she’s not out on a run, you’ll probably find her at a restaurant dining with friends. She may be a California girl at heart, but she is now proud to call Oregon home.MEET SOPHIE:
