Former Beaverton Teacher Caught By U.S. Marshals 2-17-2011

Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Marshals and Interpol, now have their man.
U.S. Marshals arrested Logan Storm, 35, at Portland International Aiport Saturday. The former Beaverton School District teacher was booked on 30 counts of child pornography charges and is being held in the Multnomah County Jail, U.S. Marshals said.
Interpol released a bulletin for Storm on Wednesday. Detectives believed he could have been overseas because his native country is Ireland. He was arrested after returning to PDX on an international flight from Amsterdam, the U.S. Marshals said. A warrant for his arrest was issued in August.
Detectives said they found child pornography on his computer. The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office said the images depicted one of Storm's relatives, but released no further details.
The Beaverton School District said Storm resigned his teaching position at Stoller Middle School in Northwest Portland. The school community is in shock by the accusation against a math teacher who many students liked.
“I’ve never met anybody who hasn’t said that they love Mr. Storm because he’s just a great guy, a great person,” said a former student who spoke on a condition of anonymity. “Everybody relates to him really easily.”
A current student, who also didn’t want to be identified, says rumors have been circulating about why Storm was absent from the school this year.
“It makes you feel kind of nervous because you think that you know somebody and then they do something like that,” said the student. “It really shocks you.”
