The disappearance of Kyron Horman could become a catalyst for change.
Kyron disappeared from Skyline School in Northwest Portland in June 2010. He hasn't been seen since.
Supporters have entered a petition to have the Kyron's Law -- School Safety and Prevention Act signed into law.
The proposal demands surveillance cameras be installed in all public schools and on all school buses nationwide.
Supporters say the cameras would help provide school officials and investigators with crucial information regarding possible abductions and other types of crimes.
