Friends and co-workers held a head-shaving party Friday to support a woman whos been diagnosed with cancer.
Jennifer Nowlin started chemotherapy Monday. She has stage-three breast cancer that has moved to her bones.
Nowlin wanted to shave her head before her hair falls out, so her co-workers at RidgeCrest Cabinets in Ridgefield did the same.
Nowlin said she was touched by the effort.
I have a lot more support than I know. (It) means a lot to me, she says.
An anonymous donor is giving $5 for every man who shaves his head and $100 for every woman.
All proceeds go to help Nowlin and her family cope with her diagnosis and recovery.
For those interested in donating, an account has been set up under Nowlins name at Columbia Credit Union.
