The Oregon State Police said they are continuing the investigation into a serious two-car crash that happened early Sunday morning at the intersection of Highway 34 and Seven Mile Lane east of Interstate 5.

Four people were hurt in the crash. Three of the motorists were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. The fourth person was transported by REACH air ambulance to Corvallis Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.

According to OSP Senior Trooper Brad Hales, at about 8:22 a.m. a Nissan Maxima was northbound on Seven Mile Lane when it failed to stop at the stop sign at the Highway 34 intersection. The car was struck in the passenger side by a westbound Pontiac Grand Prix.

Oregon State Police said alcohol is being investigated as a contributing factor in the crash.

One westbound lane of Highway 34 and Seven Mile Lane were closed for about 5 hours after the crash.
