Two Arrested For Prescription Drug Fraud

Posted: Updated:

Woodland police say they have arrested two women accused of trying to use a forged prescription drug form.

Officers say Cynthia Stevens, 39, and Sandy Laukala, 45, tried to use the form at the Hi School Pharmacy on Lewis River Road just after 11:30 a.m. today. Police say the women were trying to get Oxycodone.

Officers say a pharmacist noticed that there was something different about the prescription form and called the Oregon doctor's office it was believed to be written at to verify the prescription. The office told the pharmacist that it was not aware of the form.

Police arrested the two women and booked them in the Cowlitz County Jail on charges of attempted theft, forgery and prescription fraud.
