KPTV - FOX 12Natalie Brand

Natalie Brand

Natalie joins Fox 12 from Southern California, where she worked in broadcast news in San Diego and Palms Springs.

Her reporting at KPSP, the CBS affiliate in the Coachella Valley earned her "Reporter of the Year" by the Associated Press Television and Radio Association, as well a Golden Mike Award, a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award, and a AP Spot News Award for live breaking news coverage.

Over the years, she's covered everything from massive wildfires and earthquakes, to President Gerald Ford's funeral, and she even scored an interview with Archbishop Desmond Tutu. "My favorite part of the job is meeting new people," said Natalie. "Everybody has a story, and I learn something new everyday!"

Her love for news began in college, at the University of California, San Diego, when she started interning at KFMB, San Diego's CBS affiliate. She was immediately hooked, and was soon hired as overnight writer/producer while completing a degree in Communications and graduating Cum Laude.

Natalie is thrilled to call Portland her new home and can't wait to begin exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest! When she's not reporting, she loves to hike, golf, ride horses, cook, sample new restaurants and spend time with her two rescue cats, Oliver and Preston.
