Showering prowler enters guilty plea

Posted: Updated:

A man accused of breaking into a southwest Portland woman's home and taking a shower has pleaded guilty.

Timothy Chapek entered his plea to criminal trespassing charges today. He was sentenced to five days in jail.

He's also accused of a rash of other crimes. They include breaking into a Beaverton Papa Murphy's restaurant last month.

His trial for that case is set for July.

Back in March, investigators say he broke into the woman's house, locked himself in the bathroom and called 911 on himself when she returned home.

He was arrested, but then did not show up for his arraignment. Police say it's because he was on a stealing spree.

He is accused of stealing a loaner car from Kuni BMW in Beaverton, driving to Chehalis, Wash. and trying to rob a Walmart.
