Members of the Portland Police Bureau Gang Enforcement Team said Saturday they arrested a 19-year-old man as part of Operation Cool Down.
Coretz Wade was arrested around 9 p.m. Friday near Woodlawn Park, police said.
He was armed with a gun, according to police spokesman Lt. Robert King.
Wade was charged with felon in possession of a firearm, interfering with a police officer, possession of a loaded weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm, police said.
He was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center and he is being held on $12,500 bail.
Operation Cool Down is in response to the several gang-related shootings and stabbings over the past week, King said.
So far, there have been 42 gang related incidents in Portland, police officials said.
