TUSCALOOSA, AL (WVTM/CNN) - Tuscaloosa, AL, was the site of a pro boxing match Saturday to raise money to help those affected by the deadly April tornadoes that destroyed much of the town.

"We put on a great performance and we thank (my opponent) for accepting it because there were other fights he could have taken," boxer Deontay Wilder said.

Wilder, an Alabama native, knocked out his opponent Damon Reed in the night's main event.

"He heard about the storm and he took it, and you know, he's a world class athlete," Wilder said. "You can't do nothing but salute a guy like that, with a heart like that."

Wilder, a 2008 Olympic bronze medalist, has never lost a fight.
