Sand in the City invades Pioneer Square

Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland has been transformed into a beach party featuring sand castles and youth exhibits for 2011 Sand in the City.

The sandcastles will be on display Friday and Saturday until 8 p.m., and then Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The suggested entrance donation is $3 per person before 6:30 p.m. and $5 per person after 6:30 p.m. It's $10 per family at all times.
