Armed home robberies could be connected in McMinnville

Posted: Updated:

Police believe two residential armed robberies in two days are connected.

McMinnville police received a call around 3:30 a.m. on Monday of a reported armed home invasion robbery and a second call this morning around 4:30 a.m. of a similar type of robbery.

The first report was at the 700 block of Southeast Davis Street where two adult females and a 3-year-old daughter live.

The residents hid in their bedroom when they heard someone kick in and enter through the backdoor. Two men then forced their way into the bedroom and demanded cash.

Both men were carrying weapons and concealed their faces with bandanas, police say.

The second report was at an apartment on the 100 block of Northeast 19th Street where two men demanded money from an adult male in the complex's parking lot.

The resident ran to his apartment and the two men followed him in. The victim's roommate came out of his bedroom when he heard the noise and the two men fled the scene.

Police report the two men were also armed with weapons and wore bandanas to hide their faces.

McMinnville Police Department is asking the public's help locating these two men:

  • The first man is described as a thin white male and 6'4" tall.
  • The second man is either white or Hispanic and 5'8" tall. He has dark hair and a stocky build.

Anyone with information about these incidents or suspects is asked to call 503-435-5618.
