Marion County deputies arrested two people after receiving a call that someone was stripping parts from a car in Southeast Salem on Sunday evening.

Deputy Jason Bernards got the call around 5 p.m. and drove to the area of Squirrel Hill Road and Delaney Road Southeast.

There, he found a black Honda Civic partially hidden in blackberry bushes. A computer check revealed that the car was reported stolen from Portland, investigators said.

FOX 12 learned evidence also indicated someone tried to remove stereo equipment from the dash.

Deputy Nicholas Hunter later arrived to help look for possible suspects.

He found Bradley Gesner and Tamara Dolan nearby, detectives said.

As he spoke with Dolan, Gesner ran off, investigators said.

More deputies responded to the area and tracked down Gesner about 10 minutes later.

Gesner faces charges including unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), failure to register as a sex offender, and a warrant for violating a restraining order. His bail is $285,000 and he is due in court Monday afternoon, deputies said.

Dolan was arrested on a parole violation of distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and is being held without bail, investigators told FOX 12.

Both suspects were booked at the Marion County Jail.
