Posted: Updated:
RANDLE, WA (KPTV) -

Human remains were found by a property owner in the 100 block of Joerk Road in Randle on Thursday morning.

Detectives with the Lewis County Sheriff's Office say it's possible that the remains could be that of 57-year-old Trisha McKenzie-Fire.

She was reported missing in April.

However, positive identification hasn't been made.

The remains were located about 1 1/2 miles from McKenzie-Fire's home in Randle, where she was last seen.

The skeletal remains are to be examined by a forensic anthropologist at the King County Medical Examiner's Office.
