DEER ISLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A weapons-filled family brawl at a home in Deer Island finished with one man in critical condition and three others in handcuffs, authorities say.
Columbia County deputies say 46-year-old Theodore McIntyre was swinging a PVC pipe during a domestic dispute with his girlfriend Tuesday shortly after 4 p.m.
McIntyre was then stabbed in the belly with a long knife by his girlfriend's son, 22-year-old Brandon Brown, deputies say.
At some point, prior to deputies' arrival, McIntyre's sister showed up at the home and threatened both McIntyre and Brown with a gun, according to the sheriff's office.
Once deputies and paramedics showed up at the home on Canaan Road, a LifeFlight helicopter was called in to rush McIntyre to Legacy Emanuel Hospital. His current condition is unknown.
Investigators sorted out the events of the brawl and arrested Brown on second-degree assault charges, 43-year-old Fargaret Fournier on an outstanding warrant for possession of controlled substances and50-year-old Dawn Teves on a menacing charge.
