A police standoff involving a possibly armed man
closed part of Fourth Plain Boulevard in Vancouver on Wednesday morning.
The man was in a car in a parking lot at Fourth Plain and Stapleton roads. Police
responded, and at about 10 a.m., they took him into custody.
No injuries were reported.
Fort Vancouver High School, which is nearby, was in a modified lockdown
during the standoff. That means students were allowed to roam the hallways of
the school, but they were not allowed to exit the school.
Fourth Plain was partially closed between 62nd Avenue and Stapleton Road.
