It is safe to say, season ticket holders to the 2011 version of the Portland Timbers liked what they saw.
On Tuesday, the Major League Soccer club announced that 97 percent of season ticket holders have already renewed their tickets for next season.
The Timbers sold out of season tickets before the start of their inaugural MLS season and sold out all 17 league matches at JELD-WEN Field in 2011. For 2012, Timbers season ticket prices for more than 80 percent of the seats at JELD-WEN Field remain the same as prices in 2011.
Plus, the Timbers say the wait list for season tickets has grown to 5,000.

With a $50 per-seat refundable deposit to join the waiting list, fans can secure the chance to purchase season tickets when they become available, have priority for additional ticket plans released by the club and have access to special pre-sale opportunities among other benefits.
