EUGENE, OR (KPTV) -

An Eugene woman says she embezzled almost $150,000 from two credit unions to support her gambling habit.

Court documents reveal that Lenora Colburn admitted to embezzling $146,000 while working as a supervisor and assistant manager at two SELCO Community Credit Union branches in Eugene.

Colburn further admitted that she was able to use her position as a supervisor and an assistant manager to facilitate and conceal her embezzlement by creating bogus cash transactions, by manipulating cash drawer and vault balances, and branch audits.

The maximum penalty is 30 years of imprisonment and a $1 million fine. Colburn is scheduled to be sentenced in Eugene on Jan. 10.

This case was investigated by the FBI and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott E. Bradford.
