The Portland Timbers will begin preparing for their second season in Major League Soccer Monday.
Timbers players and coaches open a seven-week preseason camp at JELD-WEN field. The teams first full week of training will be at the site where Portland plays its home games.
The Portland Timbers announced earlier this month a 2012 schedule that features 12 nationally televised matches, plus seven matches on FOX 12 Oregon and five matches on PDX TV.
Portland's first match of the year is Monday, March 12, when it hosts the Philadelphia Union at JELD-WEN Field. Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
