MOLALLA, OR (KPTV) -

Highway 213 could be closed for several days between Molalla and Marquam in Clackamas County, Oregon Department of Transportation officials say.

Extensive erosion around three pipes undermined the roadway, making it necessary to close both lanes of traffic Thursday afternoon, ODOT says.

Engineers are determining what is necessary to repair the road, which will take time.

A detour will take drivers onto Kropf and Monte Cristo roads.

Signs on Highway 213 will direct traffic onto the detour. Delays should be expected in the area, ODOT says.
