A massive fire gutted a building used by a charity in Molalla.
Firefighters arrived at the structure along East Fifth Street around 4 a.m. Thursday after receiving several 911 calls.
The charity that uses the building is called Molalla Communities That Care and its mission is to bring the community together to guide kids and families in making healthy life choices. They also chip in to help people pay utility bills when times are tough.
Everything inside the structure was destroyed, including items that had been donated to help families in need.
Lynn Blatter from MCTC is looking for the positive side of this. "I just have to stand on my faith that it's going to be OK one way or another. We were blessed that it happened at night and nobody was inside," Blatter said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
