63-year-old pedestrian struck, killed in Fairview

FAIRVIEW, OR (KPTV) -

A 63-year-old pedestrian was hit and killed near a Fairview intersection on Thursday evening, police say.

Fairview officers say the victim was walking north across West Arata Road near Wood Village Boulevard when he was struck by a westbound vehicle.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver stopped and is cooperating with police.

The victim's name won't be released until his family has been notified.
