GOVERNMENT CAMP, OR (KPTV) -

Police have released the name of a 17-year-old Sandy girl who died as a result of an accident that took place at Mount Hood Skibowl on Friday night.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says Taylur Dewolf was spending the evening snowboarding with her family and friends when she disappeared. Her father called 911 at 10:30 p.m., after she had been missing for about three hours.

While a Clackamas County Search and Rescue team was en route to Skibowl, a patrol team found Taylur about 10 feet off the groomed downhill route named Dog Leg. She had apparently died from head and chest injuries after colliding with a tree.

Witnesses said that they had seen Taylur earlier, snowboarding at a very high rate of speed.

Police are considering the death accidental, saying that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
