
A man robbed a SE Portland convenience store at gunpoint and fled on foot.
The robbery was reported shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday.
The clerk at the Penny Saver Market, located at 6643 SE Harold Street, reported a man walked into the store and demanded cash at gunpoint. The clerk was not hurt.
In surveillance video, the man can be seen pulling a bandanna over his face as he approaches the counter, setting a gun on the counter and grabbing money from the clerk's hand as the clerk removes the cash from the register.
Officers searched the surrounding neighborhood with a police K-9, but did not find the man.
The robber is described as a white man in his late 30s or early 40s. The clerk estimates he was about 5'3" to 5'6" tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
