PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
An Occupy Portland protester is upset with police for taking away his bike, the one and only "disco trike."
Police arrested Dan Kaufman at a downtown rally last week, and his bike was impounded.
Kaufman calls his "disco trike" a multimedia broadcasting vehicle, that he uses to film protests and play music during marches.
"It is true, guilty as charged, I was playing music. I was playing disco
music -- Funkytown. Also, when things got very heavy, I also put on some
Bob Marley, and I did that for a reason because ... I felt it would pull
some tension out of the air," he says.
Kaufman says police took the camera out of his hands, and they had no right to take his bike, too.
Police say the bike was approved for release when Kaufman came and asked for it on Monday.
