Portland modeling agency owner sentenced to year in prison

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A Portland modeling agent who pleaded no contest to child sex abuse charges has been sentenced to a year in prison.

After his 366-day sentence, Michael William Fox will have to register as a sex offender.

In June 2011, Portland Police arrested Fox on allegations that he was using his modeling business to sexually abuse a 16-year-old girl who was a client and intern at his company, Vault Model and Artist Management.

Fox pleaded no contest to the charges in December 2010 and was re-arrested in January for violating the terms of his release agreement, according to detectives.

Investigators have asked for people to come forward if they have information about any similar situations involving Fox.
