PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
While police investigated reports of a stabbing at a southeast Portland business, a man on a bicycle rode by and told officers he did it, according to authorities.
It all happened shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon at Southeast 14th and Stark Street.
Police say the business owner was stabbed during a confrontation with an employee and a friend of that worker.
The victim was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening wound to his abdomen.
When police arrived at the scene, they were told the suspect may still be in the building. They were preparing a team of officers to go inside, when he rolled up on a bike and confessed to the crime.
The suspect has since been identified as Ulysses Martinez. He faces charges of attempted murder and second-degree assault.
