Church holding memorial service for Sandy teen killed in snowboarding accident

SANDY, OR (KPTV) -

One week after she died in a snowboarding accident, family and friends will say goodbye to Taylur DeWolf during a memorial service today.

The 17-year-old lost control and hit a tree while snowboarding at Mt. Hood Skibowl last Friday.

She was wearing a helmet, but died from her severe injuries.

Friends say Taylur was a natural leader and was very involved with her church youth group.

The memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Friday at the Sandy Assembly of God Church located at 39800 Hwy 26 in Sandy, OR.

The church's pastor says the service is open to the public.
