VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Vancouver Police said they've arrested a man they call the Elmer Fudd robber after a crime at a Bank of America branch on Mill Plain Boulevard.

Detectives were conducting surveillance at the Bank of America at 13411 SE Mill Plain Boulevard at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday when they saw 39-year-old Daniel Teeples approach the bank.

Police said Teeples entered the bank, committed a robbery at the teller counter and then fled on foot.

Detectives from Vancouver's Major Crimes Unit and Neighborhood Response Team watched as he entered a car waiting nearby.

The car was immediately stopped in the parking lot, and officers arrested Teeples, as well as the driver, Anne Louise Bradley.

Teeples, who police believe is responsible for several robberies in Vancouver and Clark County in December and January, is being held on seven counts of first-degree robbery. Bradley is in custody on five counts of first-degree robbery.

Police said they gave Teeples the "Elmer Fudd" nickname based on clothing he wore in each robbery.
