PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A jury has convicted a man who used his daughter as a human shield during a confrontation at Mount Tabor Park in Portland.
Hugh Neustel was found guilty on several charges, including unlawful use of a weapon and disorderly conduct. He is set to be sentenced Friday.
In July, Neustel spat on a park volunteer, got a gun out of his car and started making threats.
When officers arrived, he grabbed his 6-year-old daughter and held her across his body.
A loaded gun was found in his pocket during his arrest, court documents say, and about 15 to 20 people with children were in the area during the incident.
