Man caught with underage boy sentenced to 10 years

NEWBERG, OR (KPTV) -

A man who changed his plea in the middle of a sex abuse trial was sentenced Friday.

Robert Kenneth will spend 10 years in prison.

He pleaded guilty earlier this month to sex abuse and drug charges after testifying in his trial.

Newberg-Dundee Police arrested him in August after he was found naked in a sleeping bag with a 15-year-old boy near an elementary school.

He told authorities that he met the boy through Craigslist.

Kenneth must register as a sex offender once released.
