PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Super Bowl Sunday is one of the most dangerous days on the road due to drunk driving. Oregon was no exception this Super Bowl weekend.

According to Oregon State Police, three people died in two separate crashes.

Troopers also made 38 DUI arrests. That is down from 59 arrests during Super Bowl weekend last year.

The first happened at approximately 10:58 p.m. on Saturday. A 19-year-old man from Merlin, OR, died in a single vehicle rollover crash on Highway 238 about four miles east of Murphy in Josephine County.

The driver, an 18-year-old woman, was arrested the next morning after being released from the hospital.

She faces multiple charges, including Manslaughter in the Second Degree and DUII.

Two people were also killed at about 6:40 p.m. on Sunday in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 211 and Canby-Marquam Highway between Molalla and Woodburn.

Alcohol is not believed to have played a role in this accident.
