LAKE OSWEGO, OR (KPTV) -
Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with numerous acts of vandalism around Lake Oswego.
Lake Oswego Police said the two boys, both 16 years old, claimed responsibility for tire slashings and the spray painting of homes and cars. The vandalism took place early Monday morning in two neighborhoods in town.
A school was also vandalized, police said, and the suspects tried to start a fire at one of the locations.
Late Monday afternoon, detectives arrested the two teens who claimed responsibility. They're being held at the Donald E. Long Detention Center and will be charged with a number of counts of criminal mischief and attempted arson.
Lake Oswego Police said they're still investigating whether the two teens are responsible for other vandalism cases reported last week in Lake Oswego and southwest Portland.
