Man to stand trial for accidental shooting death in Beaverton

Jury selection began today for the trial of Darrell Laffoon, a Washington County man accused of accidentally shooting and killing another man at a Beaverton mobile home park.

Laffoon was arrested in April of last year. He told detectives he took out his gun to break up a fight between two brothers, and the gun went off.

Both brothers were hurt, and Phillip Wilson later died from his wounds.

Laffoon faces one count of manslaughter.
