Man seriously injured in Kalama sports car crash

KALAMA, WA (KPTV) -

A man driving a 1968 Chevy Camaro suffered serious injuries when he lost control of the vehicle in Kalama and crashed into a tree, investigators said.

According to the Kalama Fire Department, the man was driving about 78 miles in a 35 mph zone before the crash occurred in the 100 block Cloverdale Road.

Firefighters said the vehicle rolled before hitting the tree, and the impact caused the roof of the car to cave in, trapping the driver.

The man was transported by LifeFlight to a local hospital, investigators said.
