Woman in wheelchair dies after being hit in Gresham

GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -

Gresham police say a woman who was struck by a car on Division Street in Gresham has died.

The woman, who was in her mid-50s, was in a wheelchair in the westbound lanes of Division Street between Linden and Kelly avenues at the time of the crash.

She was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, but succumbed to her injuries.

The driver of the car stayed at the scene and will not face charges, police say.
