Man convicted in human shield case faces new charges

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A man convicted of using his own daughter as a human shield while dealing with police is facing new charges.

Hugh Neustel was sentenced to six months in jail and three years probation last week for the incident involving his daughter on Mt. Tabor in July.

Neustel was arraigned this morning on one count of tampering with a witness.

Prosecutors say he told the mother of his child he would post naked pictures of her on the internet and cut off child support if she testified against him.
