LAKE OSWEGO, OR (KPTV) -

Families in Lake Oswego are still cleaning up days after a destructive and costly crime spree.

Several people woke up to find their tires slashed and their cars covered in graffiti over the weekend.

Two 16-year-olds were arrested on Monday after admitting to the vandalism, but neighbors say they're still dealing with a mess.

The owner of a car detailing business near the neighborhood says he's been busy helping families get things back to normal.

"These people are just trying to live day-to-day and then all of a sudden, wake up in the morning to this," said Richard O'Neil, owner of On Spot Mobile Detailing. "I'm just happy to know that I get to fix it."

O'Neil says victims of vandalism can try to remove the graffiti themselves. But he warns that it's easy to scrub too hard and scratch off the car's finish.
