Willow Thorpe's husband, Jeff, says she was out shopping for Christmas presents for the family when the crash happened.
PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A truck driver in a crash that killed a mother of two over Thanksgiving weekend last year won't be indicted, a grand jury decided Thursday.
Willow Thorpe, 26, was out shopping for Christmas presents on Black Friday when a tanker truck driven by Ibrahim Halilovic collided with an SUV, and then skidded on its side into Thorpe's car nearly head-on, killing her.
The crash happened at Northeast Columbia Boulevard and 47th Avenue.
In an interview with FOX 12 last fall, Thorpe's husband said their two children, ages 1 and 5, were too young to understand what happened to their mother.
While Halilovic was cleared of criminal charges, Portland police cited him on charges of careless driving, driving while suspended and failure to obey a traffic control device.
